This beautiful Scrappy Quilt is truly one of a kind. I was inspired to try making this block of the month pattern after someone in my Modern Quilt Guild made one exactly to pattern specs.
I went to purchase the fat quarters for the inner star and realized this would be even costlier than planned. My goal was then to make it with only the scraps I had on hand. The inner star is made up of various batik fabrics, sari’s, home decor, and specialty fabrics. The outer gray, and black fabrics are from MODA. The majority of the quilt is made of 100% cotton. The batting is 100% cotton, and was long arm quilted. This finished size is close to 96″x96″.
I’m truly in love with this quilt and feel I pushed myself with the layout and design. I know it would make a great addition to anyone’s quilt collection.
Here are a few detailed pics of the finished product.
